Purple and Gold Daisy Cake

For this cake, I was inspired by a picture of a cake that I saw online, but I didn't have access to the exact materials that they used for it. I used an edible gold pen for the lines on the side, however this did not turn out how I wanted. I was hoping to create thinner lines, but I quickly found that creating defined strokes with the pen was very difficult. My favorite part about this cake is the border on the bottom which I made by sticking golden sugar and pearl sprinkles to the fondant. Although this cake isn't what I originally imagined, I absolutely adore the purple and gold color scheme and am happy with how it turned out.
