Vegan Chocolate and Walnut Banana Bread
This simple Vegan Chocolate and Walnut Banana Bread is sure to please anyone's taste buds!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts
Instructions:
- Heat your oven to 350°F and grease your loaf pan with melted butter.
- Mix together your dry ingredients (flour, cacao powder, baking soda, salt and chia seeds).
- In a separate bowl, add 1 tbsp of water and combine it with 1 tbsp if ground flax seeds. Rest it for five minutes or until it starts to thicken.
- Mash your bananas and mix in the rest of the wet ingredients (coconut oil, coconut sugar, flax mixture, and vanilla extract) until combined.
- Fold the dry ingredients from step 2 into your wet ingredients until smooth. Add in your semisweet chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Pour your batter into your loaf pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick poked in comes out clean.
