Vegan Chocolate and Walnut Banana Bread

This simple Vegan Chocolate and Walnut Banana Bread is sure to please anyone's taste buds!

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  1. Heat your oven to 350°F and grease your loaf pan with melted butter.
  2. Mix together your dry ingredients (flour, cacao powder, baking soda, salt and chia seeds).
  3. In a separate bowl, add 1 tbsp of water and combine it with 1 tbsp if ground flax seeds. Rest it for five minutes or until it starts to thicken.
  4. Mash your bananas and mix in the rest of the wet ingredients (coconut oil, coconut sugar, flax mixture, and vanilla extract) until combined.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients from step 2 into your wet ingredients until smooth. Add in your semisweet chocolate chips and walnuts.
  6. Pour your batter into your loaf pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick poked in comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool and enjoy!
